Street Carnival

Despite its dimensions, Street Carnival can be contemplated at a short distance (as well as from a distance). The idea behind this long piece is that the viewer can walk its width, observing and discovering the lines, colours, shades, and patterns throughout.
The painting brings together vibrant colours, shapes, and expressive lines and brushstrokes that reflect the diversity and harmony found in these communal festivities I so much love. Viewers from different backgrounds can find their own stories and connections within this painting, as it is an allegory of a popular celebration/festivity.
