Symbiosis
As brushstrokes and lines are painted and drawn, a transformation of the elements—paper, paint, water, pastels, and pencils—takes place. Layers are continuously added one over another, while the metamorphosis continues to unfold. Eventually, paper, paint, and pastels no longer exist as separate elements; instead, a symbiosis emerges in which each element becomes part of another, and coexistence depends upon their harmonious interconnection.
This artwork measures 115x75cm. I used acrylic paint, oil pastels, and colouring pencils on watercolour paper (300g). It has a very tactile feel to it as the layers of paint wash and pastels are very inviting to the touch. I keep my works unframed for logistics reason, but recommend my buyers to frame them.
